Gittus in fine form

UNDER 13: University 5-174 off 30 overs defeated New Norfolk 7-88 off 30 overs at Boyer Oval last weekend. Batting: Tate Browning: 37no (6 fours), Cale Browning 15no (2 fours). Bowling: Bobby Nossiter 1-3 off 3 overs (1 maiden), Tate Browning 1-4 off 3 overs, Frankie Jones 1-14 off 3 overs, Cale Browning 1-19 off 3 overs, Fearghus Joyce 1-21 off 3 overs.

UNDER 15: New Norfolk 8-202 off 31.2 overs defeated University 8-86 off 21.1 overs at Boyer Oval. Batting: Chris Hall 67 (9 fours, 3 sixes), Cameron McMaster: 51 (9 fours, 1 six), Luke Jarvis 38 ( 3 fours, 3 sixes), Blake Sillifant 12 (1 four), Jack Morgan 10 (1 four). Bowling: Jordon Gittus 3-2 off 1.1 overs, Jake Sorrenson 2-10 off 3 overs, Josh Nichols 1-5 off 3 overs. Tom Eiszele 1-11 off 3 overs, Luke Jarvis: 1-17 off 3 overs.

After making his maiden century the previous week, 15-year-old Jordon Gittus got a hat-trick last Sunday, capturing 3-2 off 1.1 overs. The wickets were bowled, caught, and the third was bowled. Well done Jordon, you are in fine form.

Well done also to Seb Wishart and the New Norfolk Cricket Club for running the Cricket Blast program for our young cricketers locally. By all reports the kids all enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
