Police attention turns to car fire

THE police investigation into a suspicious house fire in New Norfolk last week has now turned its attention to a car fire and disturbance in the days prior.

Constable Stephen Bugg said inquiries were continuing into a deliberately lit fire at Unit 22/35 Kensington St, at around 7.20pm last Tuesday, June 28. The blaze caused damage estimated at $100,000 damage to the Housing Tasmania unit.

Police are now appealing for information in relation to a disturbance and a car fire that took place in the same unit complex in the days prior (June 26-27) which they believe may be linked.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Constable Stephen Bugg at Bridgewater CIB on 6230 2111.
