Richard Warner and Governor Kate Warner
at Government House.
IT will be a proud occasion for all concerned when the new governor of Tasmania makes her first official visit to New Norfolk tomorrow night (Sunday).

Professor Kate Warner was sworn in as the state's 28th governor a fortnight ago and relocated from her New Norfolk home to Government House shortly after.

Professor Warner has lived in the Derwent Valley since marrying agriculturalist Richard Warner about 40 years ago. The couple has two daughters and five grandchildren.

The governor and Mr Warner will return to New Norfolk tomorrow evening to attend an attend an ecumenical service of Christmas carols and readings at St Matthew's Anglican Church. The governor will read one of the lessons.

The service starts at 7.30pm at St Matthew's Anglican Church in Bathurst St, New Norfolk.
