Youth League cricket - round two

YOUTH LEAGUE
Round 2 results from Sunday, November 2.

GRETNA Under 15s had a good win over Bucks, making 4 for 173 with Sam Booth top-scoring with a well made 45 which included six 4s. Jacob Bowerman batted well making 25 (four 4s) as did Blake Mayne who made 23. Bucks were bowled out for 68 due to some great work by the Gretna boys, in particular Blake Mayne who finished with the excellent figures of 4-5 off four overs, not a bad effort in his first match of the season. With the team being two players short, Blake's nine-year-old brother Caleb stepped up and fielded for the team.

New Norfolk Under 15s won by the narrow margin of nine runs over Old Beach. Cody Morgan did well making 20 runs as did Nathan Rice with 19 and Lucas Higgins chipped in with 16. The young Red Caps made 106 while Old Beach finished on 97. Jye Bearman bowled very well claiming two wickets as did Nathan Rice capping off a good match while R. Franklin got one.
