Westerway Raspberry Farm tomorrow (Sunday), allowing visitors to pick their own fruit. The price for self-picked varieties will be $10/kg for raspberries and $5/kg for blackcurrants.
The event is featured in today's issue of the Mercury newspaper with a great photo by Roger Lovell and the story can be read here. The farm continues to supply fruits for Cascade's blackcurrant juice following the sale of Cascade Cordials to Coca-Cola and an interesting discussion on that topic can be heard in a recent ABC Radio interview available here.
The open day is from 9.30-5.30 tomorrow and the farm can be accessed off Gordon River Rd, right on the t-junction at Westerway. There is also a farm gate shop offering a range of products made from berries grown on the farm.
