Christmas parade details

THIS year's Christmas Parade will be held Saturday 14th December commencing at noon in Circle St, New Norfolk. We have 31 entries in the parade which possibly may make it the biggest one yet.

The route will follow Circle St to High St, proceeding around Arthur Square and returning up High St. We have two pipe bands and the Derwent Valley Concert Band participating.

This year's parade has been organised by the Rotary and Lions Clubs of New Norfolk, funded by the New Norfolk Business Alliance and assistance given by the SES and Tyga FM.

Tyga FM will be broadcasting live on the day, the Lions Club will conduct a BBQ outside the Post Office after the event and prizes will be awarded by MC Craig Farrell also after the event. Santa will be in attendance outside the Post Office after the parade.

  1. It's very good to see that this parade has remained close to Christmas as everyone is 'in the mood' at this time. Much better than the Hobart city parade held in November, what? The biggest one I can remember is when the Buddhist group came, that was huge and very entertaining.
