Flood Watch Advice continues for all the western and southeastern river basins and is now extended to the northern river basins.
Catchments in the western half of Tasmania remain wet after high rainfall totals were recorded in the last 48 hours. Rainfall totals in the range of 50-110mm were reported in the 48 hours to 9am Wednesday in the western half of Tasmania.
Further rainfall is expected tonight and over the rest of the week over the western, northern and south-eastern districts. Strong river rises are likely to occur in most rivers and streams across those districts.
A minor Flood Warning continues for the Huon River, with renewed rises expected on Thursday and Friday.
Strong and dangerous flows will be a hazard over next days where river levels are high.
