ABC investigates hospital sale

THE slow-burning issue of the value of the Royal Derwent Hospital/Willow Court hospital site at the time of its sale, will be aired on ABC TV tonight. The Tasmanian edition of the 7.30 program claims that the vast property in New Norfolk was valued at $45 million when it was sold to a consortium including the Derwent Valley Council for about $500,000 in 2001. A promotion airing on ABC Radio says tonight's 7.30 program will reveal what really happened when the government disposed of the property.

  1. Should make for some very interesting viewing. How much was it sold to the private developer for?

  2. Capitol valuation of $45.58 Million. Sold in 2001 for $350.000 by Minister David Llewellyn.
